Girls Schools In Kabul

This page is still under construction; however, read on:

Afghans 4 Tomorrow

Our organization works with Afghans 4 Tomorrow to improve education for girls denied schooling by the taliban. Afghans 4 Tomorrow founded schools in Kabul for girls in the primary grades. The girls' ages, however, are not those of normal elementary school. These are girls ranging from age 8 - 25. They missed years of schooling while the taliban was in power. Now they are on a fast-track to catch up, taking courses at twice the normal speed.

Teacher Training by Classrooms Across Cultures

We provide teacher-training and classroom instruction to these girls on our trips to Kabul. In 2004, we taught basic hands-on science. In 2005, at the request of the teachers, we taught botany and how plants reproduce. In 2006, a wonderful series of human body systems lessons were taught.

Plans for 2008

Classrooms Across Cultures will lead more teacher-training, in the subjects of hands-on physics and astronomy. Your money will help buy supplies for the schools and fund an interpreter.
